Mirra takes record 11th X Game gold medal

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. - With the ink barely dry on his new Bell contract, freestyle BMX star Dave Mirra double-tailwhipped his way to a record 11th X Games gold medal, winning Saturday's Vert competition. He also put in a good show on the X Games Park course, finishing fourth and missing a medal by a scant one point.

Bell-sponsored Giant rider John Paker finished a respectable sixth in Vert, while Josh Harrington piloted his Haro bike to eighth in the Park competition.
