One of the most popular and winning helmets on both the road and mountain bike circuits, the Sweep features Bell’s top-of-the-line Twin Axis Gear (TAG) fit system. And with 20 functional vents actively channeling airflow over the head and out the rear, a feathery curb weight and a bevy of top-level features, it’s easy to see why the Sweep is a racer favorite. Stout construction with the Fusion In-Mold Microshell and bottom wrap along with an internal reinforcing skeleton make the Sweep strong yet svelte. Dialed race graphics and a removable VPV visor complete the package.

Bell’s Cam-Lock strap levers make it easy to adjust the straps around your ears. Simply open the cam…position comfortably and close the lever. Done.
-
Specially designed ventilation channels on the interior of the helmet's liner bring cool air in through the front, pass it over the head and flushes warm air out of the rear ports. You'll find some form of this feature on almost all Bell helmets, but our higher end helmets feature deeply sculpted channels that keep air moving whether you're bombing it at 30 mph, or huffing it uphill at single digit speed.
-
In-molding is the process of bonding the helmet’s Microshell to its EPS foam layer to provide a sturdier, more solid helmet. The EPS foam is shot into the thin Microshell cap when it’s in the mold—thus the name—rather than formed separately and taped on later. This process was pioneered by Bell and is now the industry standard for all high-end helmets. All but our toddler helmets are now made with this construction method.
-
In-Mold bottom wraps bring a new level of durability, solidity and aesthetics to helmets. By bonding Microshell material to the lower half of the helmet, In-Mold bottom wraps cover what on most helmets is a less durable, exposed EPS foam.
-
In order to maximize venting and minimize bulk, high-end helmets feature internal reinforcement structures. These composite skeletons fortify helmets the same way rebar makes concrete stronger, allowing for bigger vents, more advanced styling and lighter weight, while still meeting stringent safety standards.
-
Getting helmet graphics to hit the right spot on the helmet without distorting or warping is more challenging than most people realize. It’s why you see many of our competitors only doing helmets in solid colors or with very simple graphics. Bell designers have pioneered methods for registering graphics, so that we can make some of the most graphically complex and visually appealing helmets in the world.
-
Bell’s next-generation Twin Axis Gear™ (TAG) fit system adjusts to the head on two axes—circumferentially as standard fit systems do, but also horizontally to better accommodate differences in the up/down position of the occipital lobe. For added comfort we’ve co-molded the system arms with soft rubber and positioned them higher to better accommodate eyewear. The result is the most adjustable, comfortable and easy-to-use fit system ever.
-
Bell’s top-of-the-line Variable Position Visor allows for 15 degrees of horizontal adjustment by using an imbedded clutch mechanism that holds the visor firmly at the desired angle. Changing the VPV’s angle just takes a simple up or down tug.
-
Visor Plugs are designed to be snapped into visor receptacles when the visor is removed to give the helmet a finished look.

- Great value, ventilation, and technology
-
Quality: Price: Value: I raced and rode this helmet for about 2 years and loved it.
I love the great ventilation this helmet provides, especially during the hot summer months of the Rocky Mtn area. Their color scheme matched my local race team kit perfectly too :)
Also, I got hit by a car going about 25 mph (blindsided by 16 yr old texting while driving, fresh out of drivers ed...) and about the only thing intact after the ordeal was my head. The only reason I'm typing this review now is because of this helmet.
Huge thanks to Bell for making such a great helmet, with great technology, style and comfort. - Safety, Style and Comfort

Quality: Price: Value: I received the Bell Sweep as a Christmas present 12 months ago. It is very well made, looks smart, has nice detailing, and the helmet can be adjusted to fit very comfortably. The adjustable height for the straps on the back of the head mean the helmet is very secure and feels comfortable while riding (it will not move around on your head if fitted properly - which is not difficult).
Most importantly, and what has prompted me to write this review, it is incredibly safe! I was hit by a car while riding over +25mph. The helmet took a serious battering but I came out entirely unscathed. The way it stood up to such an impact is extremely impressive. The straps which I had previously appreciated for their comfort were crucial to the helmet staying in one place upon impact. I am sure that with an inferior fit as you find with many other brands, I would not have been provided with adequate protection.
Needless to say I am now the proud owner of another Sweep helmet and am satisfied and confident in its ability to do what it was made for!
I cannot recommend this product enough!
